Heart Island Conservation Area

Location

Located in northeast Volusia County, Florida near the town of Barberville. 

Directions

To get to the Bee Road entrance from I-95 exit 88 (Ormond Beach), take State Road 40 and go west for about 15 miles. Look for the Heart Island Conservation sign on your left. To get to the Deep Creek Road entrance, continue going west on State Road 40 until you reach US Hwy 17. Turn left (south) and drive for about 1 mile. Entrance will be on your left.

Trail Notes

• 30-Sep-2001: Except for a few washed out areas due heavy rains, the roads are in good condition for hiking and bike riding.
